Background
Mr. Tobia has significant experience initiating, handling and resolving adversary proceedings – mostly preference actions, often involving fraudulent conveyance issues– as well as resolving claims against the estate with the same firm. His experience was primarily representing Debtors or Trustees. After law school, Mr. Tobia spent three years practicing in the corporate department at Richards, Layton & Finger, P.A. in Wilmington, Delaware, dividing time between corporate transactional and corporate and commercial litigation matters. Subsequently, Mr. Tobia spent nearly three years with The Bayard Firm, also in Wilmington, Delaware. Mr. Tobia was able to obtain a wide variety of experience with debtors’ and creditors’ rights and litigation in bankruptcy adversary proceedings with the Bayard Firm.
