Bulk Petroleum Corporation Files Complaints Against its Creditors.
Mequon-based Bulk Petroleum Corporation, (“Debtor”) initiated adversary proceedings earlier this month against Singh Petro 2 Inc. alleging the transfer of $ 151,000.00 as preference under Section 547 of the Bankruptcy Code. On March 14, 2010, the total number of defendants in the cases of Bulk Petroleum Corp. rose to 63. Some of the other creditors against whom complaints were filed include PAR Petroleum, Rakesh Kanotra, Avtar Singh, Gas Plus, MGS, Incorporated and many others. Based in Mequon, Wisconsin, the Debtor supplied gasoline to over 200 gas stations throughout the Midwest and had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last year in February at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. The Debtor's petition listed between $ 50 and $ 100 million in assets and liabilities. The largest unsecured creditors were listed as CITGO and Marathon Ashland LLC.
Bankruptcy Judge Susan V. Kelley is presiding over the case. Howard, Solochek & Weber S.C. is representing the plaintiff as their counsel.
